Love Spell

Originally part of The Sauceress’ 2020 12 days of Tiki, this tropical, decadent recipe is the perfect tiki cocktail to re-create at home as a boozy dessert this New Years Eve. Wishing you and yours all the best in the New Year!

Love Spell
x The Sauceress
Makes one cocktail
• 1 oz White Rum
• .5 oz Dark Rum
• .5 oz Damiana Liqueur
• 1 oz Coco Lopez (guilty pleasure!)
• .75 oz Hibiscus Syrup (recipe below)
• 8 dashes El Guapo® Polynesian Kiss Bitters
• .5 oz Mezcal
• .5 oz Grapefruit Liqueur
• Small squeeze of fresh lime
• Exotic edible flowers, to garnish

Combine all ingredients except lime and bitters in a mixing glass sans ice. Stir well to combine, that Coco Lopez can be thick! Strain into a glass filled with crushed or nugget ice. Top off with bitters and a small squeeze of lime. Garnish with exotic edible flowers before serving. Cheers!

Jasmine Syrup
x Christa Cotton
makes ~ 1 cup
• 1 cup White Sugar
• 1 cup Water
• .5 cup Hibiscus Flowers

Bring water to a boil and lower heat to medium. Pour in sugar and stir to dissolve. Add Hibiscus flowers, stir gently to combine and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat to cool, and strain through a fine mesh sieve into a mason jar. Syrup will keep refrigerated for up to two weeks.
