Bloody Southern Caesar

Created by our friend and Emmy award winning chef Lara Lyn Carter, this take on a classic Bloody Mary is perfect for entertaining friends over the 4th! Fun Fact: Lara Lyn was our childhood dance teacher.

BLOODY SOUTHERN CAESAR
• 1 Tsp. celery salt
• 1 Tsp. coarse salt
• 3 Bacon slices
• 2 oz. 13th Colony Southern Vodka
• 7 dashes El Guapo® Crawfish Boil or Gumbo bitters
• 2 drops of Worcestershire
• Hot sauce to taste
• 4 oz. Clamato juice
• Limes, for rim of glass + garnish

DIRECTIONS

To make rim salt + garnish, sprinkle half the celery salt onto bacon & cook until crispy. Reserve two pieces of bacon for garnish & crush the third with the remaining salts to create “bacon” rim salt.

Coat the rim of each glass with lime & dip into bacon rim salt. Fill glasses ¾ full with ice. Pour vodka over ice & add Worcestershire, bitters, hot sauce + juice. Garnish with bacon + lime wedges just before serving.

Peas & Cues

Peas & Cues
• 1 oz El Guapo® Ginger syrup
• 1 oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 2 oz Spring-pea infused Pisco (recipe below)
• Parsley and pea tendrils, for garnish
Spring Pea Infused Pisco
• 1 c. Spring peas
• 375 mL Pisco
To create spring pea infused Pisco, blend peas and Pisco in a Vitamix or other high quality blender until completely pulverized. Strain mixture through cheesecloth lined chinois.

In a clean shaker filled with ice, combine ginger syrup, lemon juice and Pisco. Shake vigorously, and strain into a highball. Garnish with cilantro and pea tendrils before serving.

Kale Martini

Kale Martini
• 1 oz Freshly pressed cucumber juice
• .5 oz Freshly pressed celery juice
• 1 oz Freshly pressed lime juice
• .5 oz Freshly pressed kale juice
• .5 oz El Guapo® Ginger syrup
• 1.5 oz Vodka
• Kale leaf & grapefruit slice, for garnish

In a shaker filled with ice, combine all juices, ginger syrup and vodka. Shake vigorously, and strain into well chilled coupe or martini glass. Garnish with a kale leaf and grapefruit slice before serving.

Savory Margarita

Savory Margarita
• 2 Cherry tomatoes
• 1.5 oz Blanco tequila
• .5 oz El Guapo® Lime Cordial
• .25 oz Freshly pressed lime juice
• .25 oz Aloe liqueur
• Watermelon rind, for garnish

In a clean shaker thoroughly muddle the cherry tomatoes with the tequila. Add lime cordial, lime juice and liqueur before filling shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, and strain into a footed ale glass. Garnish with watermelon rind before serving.

Carrot Mimosa

Carrot Mimosa
• .25 oz Aquavit (Fernet or Cynar work, too)
• .5 oz El Guapo® Ginger syrup
• .75 oz Freshly pressed carrot juice
• Sparkling wine
• Fresh rinsed & dried carrot greens

In a shaker filled with ice, pour Aquavit (or replacement liqueur), ginger syrup and carrot juice. Shake vigorously, and strain into long stemmed coupe or champagne flut. Top with sparkling wine, and garnish with carrot greens before serving.

Carnival Bloody Mary

Carnival Bloody Mary
2oz Vodka (We used St. Roch, but any quality vodka will do)
4oz Bloody Mary mix (just use your favorite or make your own!)
El Guapo® Crawfish Boil bitters
Worchestershire sauce
Hot sauce

Fill a highball glass or plastic go cup with ice. Add vodka and top with your favorite Bloody Mary mix. Splash in El Guapo Crawfish Boil bitters, Worchestershire and hot sauce to taste. Stir well. Garnish with pickled okra, olives, lemon zest & other savory lagniappe. Go forth and march on!
